Afrofuturist toon set to debut on Disney+
Animated series Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire is set to premiere on global streamer Disney+ on July 5.
The 10-episode series is executive produced by Peter Ramsey, Tendayi Nyeke and Anthony Silverston, and produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and South Africa-based Triggerfish Animation Studios.
The series is a collection of premium original animated science-fiction short films that present 10 futuristic visions from Africa, inspired by the continent’s diverse histories and cultures.
It features a cast from across the globe, including the voices of Tyson Ngubeni, Florence Kasumba, Kehinde Bankole, Pearl Thusi, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Sheila Munyiva, Stycie Waweru and Candice Modiselle.
