Africa Magic lines up Next Titan S5
The fifth season of reality show The Next Titan is set to be aired after 18 finalists were selected to take part in the show at a live event held at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos.
The aim of the programme is to encourage Nigeria’s young people to harness their creativity and pursue their entrepreneurial goals. The winner goes away with N5m (US$13,800) and a new car.
One of the judges of the show, Chris Parkes, CEO of CPMS Africa, said the series would be of great value to the economy. “We have raised the standards. It is not going to be easy as we want to make sure contestants are disciplined in their various areas. We will also ensure the eventual winner of the show will be given the support needed to excel,” he said.
Also present at the Oriental Hotel event were Foluso Phillips, chairman of Phillips Consulting; Dr Ifie Sekibo, MD at Heritage Bank; and Yetunde Odejayi, deputy governor of Lagos State.
Sekibo said: “Despite the diverse resources available in the country, the unemployment rates seem to be increasing. Our population is growing and we are pouring out raw talents every day. Our youths need to uncap the wells and let their ideas flow.”
The Next Titan is produced by Lagos-based Bravopoints International and sponsored by Heritage Bank. It will start airing on Africa Magic Family Channel on September 30.
