Africa Channel lands in Canada
Ethnic Channels Group-owned US cablenet The Africa Channel has launched in Canada via national telecoms and broadcast company Rogers Media.
The Africa Channel has a slate of English-language pan-African series, specials, documentaries and feature films and is currently available in about seven million homes throughout the US and the Caribbean.
The channel will be available to viewers in Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland via Rogers’ online channel aggregator Ignite TV.
Narendra Reddy, general manager of The Africa Channel, said: “We are confident the breadth of our content will appeal to both the African and Caribbean diaspora as well as audiences with an interest in global travel, lifestyle and culture.”
