The Next Titan S9 seeks entrepreneurs

The ninth season of Nigerian entrepreneurial reality show The Next Titan has opened for registrations.

Producers are inviting applications from ambitious Nigerian entrepreneurs aged between 21 and 40 seeking to “demonstrate their entrepreneurial acumen with unbeatable business ideas, commercial insight and business savvy,” according to producers.

This year’s show is themed The Game Changer and will give an opportunity to young talented Nigerians who have great and innovative business ideas to compete in real-life entrepreneurial challenges. Up for grabs is a grand prize to start their new business or to support their existing one.

The 10-week series will have 16 finalists live together in the same house while facing 10 tough business tasks. They will be divided into teams and judged by members of the boardroom before being gradually eliminated until a winner emerges.

The Next Titan S9 is sponsored by cryptocurrency company Luno and is aimed at engineering entrepreneurship among Nigerian young people through identifying the best business minds and supporting their entrepreneurial acumen.

The Next Titan premiered in 2013 and is developed and produced by Lagos-based Bravopoints International. The company is also behind busines-themed TV series The Mavericks, The Proteges and Conversation with the Colossus.

Next Titan online auditions kick off

Entrepreneurial reality show The Next Titan has begun online auditions for its seventh season.

Themed as The Unstoppable, the new season is on the look-out for business ideas that are immune to any pandemic, innovations that break boundaries and technologies that can survive any lockdown.

Production company Bravopoints International is seeking ambitious Nigerian entrepreneurs aged between 22 and 40 who can demonstrate their entrepreneurial acumen with unbeatable business ideas, commercial insights and business savvy. You can register by clicking here.

The top 50 contestants from the online auditions will be selected to take part in a two-week online bootcamp where they will use ‘dashboards’ to connect with one another and the bootcamp administrators and judges.

Then 25 of the 50 will be invited to Lagos for another two-week online bootcamp. The group also will be isolated in a resort or hotel and tested for Covid-19 by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.

After their isolation, the 25 will have another physical bootcamp for both entertainment and final auditions before the top 16 are certified with a clean bill of health and moved to the Titan House for the main show.

They will live together for 10 weeks while facing a number of tough business tasks and avoiding eviction, with hopes of winning the cash prize of N10m and a new car to support their business idea.

The judges are top Nigerian business leaders and include board members Lilian Olubi, Chris Parkes, Tonye Cole and lead judge Kyari Bukar.

The show will air on Sundays on DStv Africa Magic channel 154/GoTV Channel 25 and on Saturdays on TVC and DStv channel 418. Previous winners were skincare entrepreneur Ogechukwu Alexis Obah and Amifeoluwa Yakubu.

The Next Titan is sponsored by Heritage Bank and its Lagos-based prodco Bravopoints is also behind other business-themed TV programmes such as The Proteges Nigeria, The Mavericks and Conversations With the Colossus.

Next Titan open for registrations

The application process for entrepreneurs hoping to compete in the forthcoming season of reality show The Next Titan has begun.

The fifth edition of the Nigerian programme is set to commence soon and interested participants can register on its website. Auditions will be held in Lagos, Enugu, Port Harcourt and Abuja.

Some 50 participants aged between 21 and 40 will be selected to participate in a boot camp, following which 16 entrepreneurs will be chosen as finalists.

They will then live together for 10 weeks, engaging in weekly business tasks and pitches that showcase their business acumen and drive. The most outstanding entrepreneur will win a cash prize of N5m (US$13,900) and a car.

The show will feature industry leaders as judges, including Chris Parkes, CEO of CPMS Africa; Kyari Bukar, chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group; Tonye Cole, CEO of Sahara Group; and Lilian Olubi, CEO of Primera Securities Africa.

The Next Titan will air on various TV channels that are yet to be disclosed. The show is produced by Lagos-based Bravopoints International and sponsored by Heritage Bank.

The fourth season of The Next Titan aired last year on Silverbird TV and TV Continental and was won by Kennedy Iyeh.

Africa Magic lines up Next Titan S5

The fifth season of reality show The Next Titan is set to be aired after 18 finalists were selected to take part in the show at a live event held at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos.

The aim of the programme is to encourage Nigeria’s young people to harness their creativity and pursue their entrepreneurial goals. The winner goes away with N5m (US$13,800) and a new car.

One of the judges of the show, Chris Parkes, CEO of CPMS Africa, said the series would be of great value to the economy. “We have raised the standards. It is not going to be easy as we want to make sure contestants are disciplined in their various areas. We will also ensure the eventual winner of the show will be given the support needed to excel,” he said.

Also present at the Oriental Hotel event were Foluso Phillips, chairman of Phillips Consulting; Dr Ifie Sekibo, MD at Heritage Bank; and Yetunde Odejayi, deputy governor of Lagos State.

Sekibo said: “Despite the diverse resources available in the country, the unemployment rates seem to be increasing. Our population is growing and we are pouring out raw talents every day. Our youths need to uncap the wells and let their ideas flow.”

The Next Titan is produced by Lagos-based Bravopoints International and sponsored by Heritage Bank. It will start airing on Africa Magic Family Channel on September 30.

Next Titan auditions reach Lagos

Auditions for the fifth season of entrepreneurial reality TV show The Next Titan (TNT) are taking place in Lagos today.

Some TNT judges will be present at the auditions, held at The Excellence Hotel, Ogba, to select candidates for the boot camp.

More than 30 participants have so far been selected from earlier auditions held in Enugu, Port Harcourt and Abuja.

After the Lagos auditions, selected candidates will be taken to a boot camp where 50 people will get a chance to be trained, mentored and exchange ideas with like minds.

However, only the best 16 will be chosen to make it to the TNT house as finalists, when the competition will get tougher. In the show, each entrepreneur pitches their ideas and works with a team to emerge as the winner.

The 16 entrepreneurs will live together for 10 weeks and the outstanding contestant will win a cash prize of ₦5m (US$13,800) and a car. The Next Titan Nigeria season five will air on TV channels nationwide. The show is produced by Bravopoints International.
